Trade runs in the family. As early as 1935, grandfather Kooistra visited houses with a cargo bicycle to sell all kinds of goods.
After the Berlin Wall fell, Dirk Kooistra bought up goods in the still-full factories in East Germany, which he resold in Western Europe.
The first Maxx shop was opened. The first of many to come.
Eric Kooistra and Tjitse Lawerman focus on the global market. Due to rapid growth, the company is moving to new premises in Leeuwarden with a warehouse of no less than 15,000 m2.
