Outlet store on Sontplein may not sell everything

The new large outlet store at Sontplein in Groningen may not sell part of their range. The official opening was delayed as a result. 

The Maxx XXXL is in the old Praxis premises and, according to the municipality, it has a zoning plan that only allows goods in the 'DIY' and 'garden centre' category to be sold there.

The shop had to hastily remove part of its range from the shelves. A section of the shop also had to be shielded from shoppers. Work was still hard on that on Wednesday evening.

The outlet store was checked by the municipality just before opening on Thursday morning. The shop was supposed to open at 9am, but it became about 10 minutes later.
