We bought 202 shipping containers full of Blokker items!

With the bankruptcy of Blokker, we at Kooistra.com had the opportunity to take over an extensive lot: 202 sea containers with as many as 1,600 different types of Blokker items, including crockery, suitcases, hand blenders and all kinds of other household items. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity, this doesn't happen often," Tjitse Lawerman tells RTV NOF.

We bought the lot from the shipping company and shipping company after the receivers gave their consent to the transaction. This is because the receivers did not have the money to pay the bills themselves.

With the purchase agreement that the containers must be collected within two weeks, it is still quite a logistical challenge. Each day, 12 containers are unloaded and distributed across 10,000 pallets.

"Fortunately, we are a big buyer, which can handle such a job. Besides: Frisians are hard workers." Says Eric Kooistra in an interview with RTL.

There were more hijackers on the coast, but Kooistra.com, partly due to its good reputation and reliability, won the trust and eventually came out on top. Something we are immensely proud of!

It is expected that Blokker's stock worth millions will be sold soon. Among others, to the 45 independent franchisees not covered by the bankruptcy. Items bearing the Blokker logo are also in high demand from well-known discount chains. What eventually remains will go abroad. Especially in Germany, Belgium, Eastern Europe, the Baltic states and the Balkans, the goods are in high demand. Tjitse comments, "So it could just happen that someone in Lithuania will soon have a Blokker pedal bin in the bathroom or eat from crockery with the Blokker logo."

AD: For something that costs one euro, we pay ten cents

If Blokker goes bankrupt and 202 sea containers full of toasters, blenders and drying racks remain, one man will not turn his hand to such a lot: Eric Kooistra from Leeuwarden. He buys everything loose and stuck, and if he has to, within ten minutes. "For something that normally costs 1 euro, we pay 10 cents.
