The frame of the NEW YORK is made of aluminum, which makes the bike light and strong. The bike weighs less than 16 kilograms, which means you can also use it perfectly if you want to cycle without pedal assistance. Furthermore, a heavier gear ratio of 2.75 has been used. This is the ratio between the front and rear gears. Also called gear ratio. This means that you cycle nicely at higher speeds and do not have to pedal hard. The disadvantage is that cycling away or accelerating is harder. However, the electric motor gives you almost immediate support, which eliminates this disadvantage.
The electric motor is located in the rear axle and has a capacity of 250 WATT. The drive takes place via a rotation sensor at the bottom bracket.
