3. Collection and prompt payment: once you agree, we pay the invoice straight away and arrange the transport ourselves.

Frequently asked questions about selling surplus stock

What is the difference between surplus stock and B-grade?

Surplus stock consists of saleable products that for commercial reasons are no longer sold through the regular channel, such as seasonal items or overproduction. B-grade means products with a minor defect or light damage. Kooistra.com buys both, also combined in one lot.

Do you also buy surplus stock with damaged packaging?

Yes. We buy lots with outdated, stickered or lightly damaged packaging, as long as the lot as a whole is saleable. Mention the condition of the packaging in your offer and we will take it into account in our price.

Do I need a complete inventory list to offer my lot?

No. A clear description with an estimate of the quantities and a few representative photos is often enough for an offer. An inventory list speeds up the valuation, but it is not required.

What happens to my lot after it is sold to Kooistra.com?

Your lot goes to our 15,000 m² warehouse in Leeuwarden and is then sold on to retailers, market traders and wholesalers in Europe or through our export network beyond. On request we make sure the goods stay out of your own sales market.

Do you also buy stock from bankruptcies?

Yes. We regularly buy bankruptcy and liquidation lots, in consultation with administrators or owners. The same applies here: an offer within 24 hours, prompt payment and quick collection of the complete lot.
